Made from woven natural and soft white jute, the reverse side is a plain natural colour. Coloured with non-toxic dyes and tested safe for food contact. Each coaster has a small fabric ReSpiin label stitched onto the edge.

Jute plants are easy to grow with little need for fertilisers or pesticides and have a high yield per acre. They absorb more CO2 than trees so are good for the air, and are enriching for the soil.
All dyes used are azo free.
The sewing thread used is made of 70% poly and 30% cotton. It cannot be 100% cotton thread as this will not tolerate the sewing machine tension needed to be able to stitch the jute into place.
