This natural seagrass basket is made with a chunky weave, giving it a sturdy feel.  It's perfect for adding texture and storage around the home. This is the smaller size in the range and fits neatly inside the MEDIUM Woven Seagrass basket.

Approximate size: 8cm high x 18cm diameter.

Please note these baskets are handwoven from chunky seagrass fibres and as such will vary slightly in height and diameter

SEAGRASS

Seagrasses grow very quickly in shallow saltwater along coastlines and rivers. Once mature the grasses are cut by hand and dried in the sun, then hand twisted and woven.

The dried seagrass is durable
and moisture-resistant.

The sewing thread used is made of 70% poly and 30% cotton. It cannot be
100% cotton thread as this will not tolerate the sewing machine tension needed
to be able to stitch the seagrass into place.
